André Marques
André Marques, an award-winning Portuguese writer/director studied cinema at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. His work has been developed through various genres – fiction, experimental, documentary – with films and projects selected in several internationally renowned festivals such as Berlin Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Palm Springs and others. Marques has been the subject of six retrospectives: Bucharest Cinematheque (Romania) in 2015, TV channels TVCINE (Portugal) and FicBueu Film Festival (Spain) in 2016, Burgas Film Festival (Bulgaria), Ymotion Festival (Portugal) and Fundação Gulbenkian (Portugal) in 2017. He was one of the selected filmmakers for the Berlinale Talents 2016. “The Drunk” will be his first feature film, to premiere in 2023.
Anastasia Raykova
Anastasia is a film director and producer based in London, UK. After graduating with an MA in Filmmaking from London Film School in 2018, she has worked on several feature films, and was associate producer and production supervisor on TV series, "Hidden Track", first broadcast on an internet platform okko.tv. Her latest work "Ela", a short film which she directed and produced was supported by Cascais City Hall and pre-screened at Museum Casa das Histórias Paula Rego. “Ela” was made as a proof of concept for Anastasia's first feature, "His Family", (A Sua Familia).
Arturs Sulbergs
Arturs Sulbergs is an emerging director of photography and camera operator from Latvia, currently based in Portugal. His work as a director of photography has focused on different mediums, mostly short documentaries & fiction films, as well as promotional videos across different productions in the UK, Germany and Latvia.
Elena Vertegel
Elena Vertegel is a dancer, performer, and choreographer from Ukraine, who moved to Lisbon in 2019. She has created dance performances for the Ukrainian Dance Theatre and worked with Thomas Metler and dancers from the Batsheva Dance Company and Ultima Vez Company. Recently, she assisted and performed with Claire Huber in the production of “No On” in P.A.R.T.S. (Belgium). In addition to her creative and scenic experiences, Elena develops pedagogical principles and transmits her vision of dance through her work with the temporal and semantic aspects of action. Today Elena continues to collaborate with "JA Teatre Internacional" in Portugal, working with the Belgian artist Maeva Lambert putting together a performance “FIXE” and is a member and choreographer of the collective "Lawaai” based in Brussels, Belgium.
Gonçalo Ribeiro
Gonçalo Ribeiro is a writer-director and video producer from Portugal. Having studied at London Film School, he has directed several short films. His first short "Until Tomorrow", won the Best Film, Best Actor and Best Cinematography awards at the 2012 Ver e Fazer Filmes Festival (Guimarães European Capital of Culture Edition). Since then, he has written and directed "Beach Scene", a 16mm short-film and "Brave", a short thriller which was screened around the world in several festivals.
